The Promise of Health Information Technology for the 21st Century

On Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Baker Institute Health Policy Forum at Rice University experts in health information technology (health IT) explored its potential for improving patient care and lowering health care costs. The seminar entitled "The Promise of Health Information Technology for the 21st Century" featured some of the leading thought leadership in health IT.

This conference brought together some of the nation’s foremost experts in health IT from both the public and private sectors to explore the potential of health IT as a means of improving the quality of patient care and lowering overall health care costs.
