HIT Standards Committee Meeting

The HIT Standards Committee meeting met this morning. I have the transcript posted here on Wordpress you can also see the Twitter stream and particpate in the discussion. Please feel free to comment on the meeting here on this blog as well. I am enjoying seeing the reaction to the beginning of this important work through blog postings, Twitter, email and other conversations.

  1. I think this meeting was much more productive that the HIT Policy Committee meeting earlier this week. I am very pleased at the start that is being made, and despite the difficulty presented by such a disparate group of stakeholders (with corresponding separate agendas) and the byzantine layers of policy obligation, I am confident in this excellent group.

  2. It as a very interesting process to get these transcripts posted almost immediately after the meeting. I will continue to do this for subsequent meetings if people find it useful.

  3. Brian, I appreciate you making the transcript available and plan to refer to it through out the week as I explain my views of semantic interoperability on both human and machine levels.

  4. Thanks Fred :-)
I will continue to make them available for future meetings as I can. What I did was use the closed-captioning feature of the web site (they have a transcriptionist available for hearing impaired particpants) and copied and pasted the transcript afterwards into the blog. I was able to post the transcript immediately at the end of the meeting while people were still commenting on Twitter...
