After mulling over Wes Rishel's "Simple Interop: The Health Internet Node" I have been plagued by the nagging thought that instead of using a domain such as UShealth.somehospital.org, why not create a TLD for healthcare and use somehospital.hc instead?
You would still use a valid digital certificate to authenticate TLS connections, but using a top-level domain could provide some advantages.
This seems to make sense and I would appreciate any thoughts on the idea...
