The Eagle Has Landed

I've written about the eagle's nest we have been watching this year. The bad news is that one of the eggs did not make it (rarely do you have a successful hatching of twins). Well, some good news! The eaglet has hatched and you can view the live eagle cam below and watch the eagle family's shenanigans. We have been having a good time watching and learning from these regal birds.

This eagle nest is located in an old Garry oak tree in Sidney, BC - a suburb of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, situated on the South end of Vancouver Island. The area is near the Swartz Bay ferry terminal on the Saanich Peninsula.
